Homepage Makeover

Vente-privee is a French ecommerce company that pioneered the model of online flash sales.
In 2018, I took part of the new Vente-privee re-positionning as art director on the user experience. I challenged interface through design and interface on the homepage.

This is how I worked.

HOMEPAGE REVAMP

My first mission was the find out what the new experience on Vente-privee will look like, how to improve the user experience as well as the  the production of the assets.
New brand strategy

Today, Vente-privee home is an infinity scroll showing off all the sales

 

The new Homepage will simplify the experience. We'll reduce the number of sales on the homepage, with a focus on the best arrivals a comings sales only. we'll dispatch the other sales by category in dedicated homepages.

We'll also add some original brand contents,and use our data to highlight only relevant sales.

Prototyping V.02

According to our data, more than 80% of our member use Vente-privee on their mobile (app + webapp).
So we've done the prototypes on mobile first.

when you open the app, a carousel let you have a quick overview of all the news from your last visit.

the category section  highlights special events, editorial contents best seller (brands and products)

A section that highlights brands you may like based on your profile and navigation or purchase.

The revamp of  the "tomorrow's sales" gives more room to the visuals keeping the black as main colour.

the Arrival sales are now more mobile friendly with more with space around the brand.
Add of  new features as: Category labels, key words.

A discovery section to find inspiration.
it showcases young brands, new features, partner brands with an editorial approach.

This section will also push you products you've previously looked at and a link to let you refine your personalisation preferences.

Now, the sales are arranged by their opening time (7am / 7pm). As the "arrival" section, a button let you expend the whole list.

the lists are now  limited to a dozen of sales and can be expend if you want to see the whole section

The discovery section can showcase up to 3 articles

The categories section previews the best of each category and let you go to the dedicated homepage. Just swap the see the next category highlights.

Prototyping V.01 & V.03

my first art direction was a little too far from  what Vente-privee is doing today.
the third and last version is fallowing feedback and expectation from many services and qualitative study on members

At the end of the home page, you find a button to set an alarm on your favourite brands.
