NEW IBIS FAMILY RE-BRANDING
HIGH-TECH BRAND NEW BEDDING
How to highlight the transformation and modernity of the Ibis family brand, and focus on the promise of a happy sleep, thanks to an exclusive bedding concept - “sweet bed” - to provide unsurpassed comfort in economic hotels.
To prove how well you sleep on new Ibis brand bedding, we decided to transform your night into a true work of art.
To do that, we connected the bed to a robot programmed to translate the rhythm and movements of the night into a true work of art.
80 sensors placed in the mattress, transmit sleep data (temperature, motion and sound) to the robot throughout the night. The robot converts the data, in real time, into colours and brush strokes, to create a unique canvas.
SOCIAL EXPERIENCE
Hotels in three European cities offered their customers these unique nights.
The creation of the work of art was captured in time-lapse and broadcast on the brand’s Facebook page.

The whole campaign was shared on Facebook, introducing the experience, the making of and the chance to win a night on this connected mattress. Over 60 nights, in four countries, the robot-artist painted selected Facebook fans' nights.
During those nights, the work in progress was broadcast live for all Facebook followers to experience.

The last step was to offer anyone the opportunity to transform their night into a work of art. So we adapted the algorithm for smartphones, using a motion sensor and microphone.
You just have to place your smartphone beside you while you sleep. Throughout the night, your movements and breathing are monitored and translated into a wallpaper for your device.
